Welcome to the Devon Tradition Project Website!

The Devon Tradition project will make two prominent collections of folk songs available to the public. As well as ensuring the original documents and sounds are preserved, a digital index and database will be built on this website with free digital copies of much of the original material.

Furthermore, the project will take the traditional songs of Devon back to the communities from which they were collected, by working with schools and the local community to encourage people to learn the songs and tunes of old.

News and updates are being added all the time to keep you updated of the progress of the project.
